Independent Mercantile is pleased to announce #3 of 6 Summer Artist Receptions to be hosted at the ND&X. These receptions have proven not only to be marvelous experiences for our guests but successful events for the artists. YAY!
This show is particularly exciting to us because we will be hanging the new work of an accomplished 2017 graduate of the San Francisco Art Institute, who was born and raised here in Murphys. We have had the privilege of watching this beautiful being grow from an infant into the talented, insightful and quietly daring young photographer she is today.
Bronte Blue Klass is a contemporary fine art photographer that paints with her camera. People often mistake her austere and ethereal work for watercolors or pastels. Experimenting with technique, intermixing mediums, and encouraging herself to confront taboo she pushes the creative boundaries of photography and has come up with works that are purely sublime.
Please join us in supporting & celebrating the work of this wonderfully talented young artist.
*The works of Thea Schoettgen are still up until August 8th, so if you didn’t make it to the opening, please come in to take a look. You may see something you can’t leave without!
Warmly,
Jill & Linda
